Berry Sparklers Capture Hip-Hop Title at State Dance Championship

In addition to hip hop, dance teams also competed in categories including jazz, kick, and pom.  Dance team sponsor Ms. Lee said she was proud of the hard work and teamwork her girls put into preparing for the competition. Berry Teachers Well Represented Mercedes Marathon Weekend

Five Berry teachers participated in races during the Mercedes Marathon on Sunday, Feb. 11. 7-4 math teacher Mrs. Nichols participated in the full marathon and set a new personal record in the event.  7-4 science teacher Mr. Clark and 7-3 language arts teacher Mr. Carey both participated in the half marathon, and 7-3 math teacher Mrs. Swiderski and science teacher Mrs. Wingard ran in the marathon relay. Museums in Motion Brings African American History to Berry

You begin to remember the last time you went to the museum on a school field trip. You remember being squished as you and hundreds of other students cram the halls of the museum and having to push through masses of people just to get a glimpse of the items on display. Instead of suffering all the troubles that can come with traveling to a museum, whether it’s near or far, why not bring the museum to you? That’s the concept behind Museums in Motion, a traveling museum exhibit that is making its home at Berry Middle School this week. In honor of Black History month, the exhibit focuses on African American firsts. The exhibit opened Monday in the media center and will run through Friday.
